ARGH!

Well bio mom and I are STILL arguing about the doctor thing. She basically has said that I went over her head to take C to this new doctor (even though I had permission from the GAL, mom's attorney, and the caseworker). She still thinks the doctor is too far away. I wrote back and as kindly as I could I explained how she had said she couldn't pick a new doctor for a month or longer so going to this new doctor was the only choice I had, and that I did it so that C could get the treatment and care that he needs and deserves. And I also told her that the new doctor is 1/2 way between our house and her house, and that I had been taking the kids 14 miles one way to the old doctor which was complying with her wishes. She responded with...nothing! So I don't know if she is still mad or not. Our new SC emailed me and said she is not in support of changing the doctor again, so I think that is good!

D has been making some pretty poor choices lately. He has been pretty disrespectful of me, and his attempts to "joke" with me I feel have been poorly masked passive-aggressiveness/disrespect. He is also in some trouble for some stuff that has been going on at school. My husband and I both feel that the standards at his school are too low regarding both behavior standards and homework/grading standards. Maybe that's just the way it has to be based on where his school is located, but is it frustrating because I think he is capable of so much more. He also asked on Monday about adoption again. His mom has been very consistent with visits, but I think she is getting out of treatment soon so we will see what happens. I don't understand why he is being so bad if things with his mom are going well. Sometimes I wish I could just crawl in to that kid's head and see what is going on there!

C has been having tantrums and generally just being very naughty today. I put both of the boys down for naps early, Y was tired and C just needed some more sleep I think. He told me that Y woke him up this morning so who knows.

The baby is having tummy time right now and she is ADORABLE. She can get her front end up with her arms, and get her back end up with her legs...now if only she could get both parts working together she might have some crawling going on soon! She will be 6 months old in a few days...how time flies! She started eating baby cereal last week and her foster mom asked me to start feeding it to her on days they have visits, just to make sure that she gets some that day. So this is going to be a bit of an adventure I think, I've never fed a baby so little before! I'm sure it will be fine though. Her foster mom says she does a really good job of eating from a spoon and keeping it in her mouth. :)

  1. Wow! I can't believe that you have to coordinate through bio-mom. In Texas, we virtually have no contact with families. I'm your newest follower- found you on Blog Frog.

  2. Followed you back! It is pretty crazy. I think I have more contact with bio mom than anybody in the case, just because we send a notebook back and forth to each of the visits so I "talk" to her several times a week. She has one of those pre-pay phones and it doesn't always work, so the workers in the case can't always get a hold of her. Sometimes I think it would be easier if we didn't talk so much...but then again, waiting for someone else to talk to her for me would probably take months and nothing would ever get done!
